Systems Analyst

Job Purpose 

We are looking for a Systems Analyst to join the Customer Systems team.

The team is responsible for delivering services and applications that help to manage, monitor and support our core service; provide tools for our partners and customers making it easier to do business with us; and develop our online presence through our corporate website.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Requirements gathering and documentation
  • Systems analysis and application design
  • Project management
  • Testing and quality assurance
  • Co-ordinate the roll out/delivery/launch of functionality with relevant teams
  • Provide application support
  • End user training
  • Through developing an in-depth understanding of our business, provide recommendations for business process improvements

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing applications and services as well as taking on new projects and managing them through to release and beyond. He/she will work with the Customer Systems developers as well as product owners and end users from throughout the organisation.

Person Specification

Typical skills/knowledge/education requirements:

  • Educated to Degree Level (in an appropriate field) or experienced in a similar roll
  • Business analysis methods and skills
  • Business process mapping and design
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
